Abstract

As a scientific discipline, mastozoology is our best approach to the methodical and systematic study of all aspects that are associated with mammals. Although, as a result of more than three centuries of history, enormous advances have been made in their knowledge, there are still innumerable questions, unresolved issues and problems to be solved. This means a huge opportunity for the exercise of the discipline itself, and, in addition, a call for attention to all generations of mastozoologists to fill these gaps.
