Abstract

We report the rediscovery of the greater striped-faced bat (Vampyrodes major) in Tabasco state, Mexico, after 60 years. The records are based in two individuals captured by mist-nets within the Cañón del Usumacinta natural protected area, municipality of Tenosique. These records confirm its presence in the state and represent the most recent records in the southeastern region of Mexico.
