Abstract
The mammalian reference collection of the El Bosque University Science Museum (MCUB), registered in the National Registry of Biological Collections and in the Information System of Colombian Museums, contains 50 specimens belonging to 24 species, 21 genera, 16 families and 8 orders. The specimens come from 8 municipalities in Colombia, Huila Grande being the most representative (40% of records), the best represented orders are Chiroptera and Carnivora with 30 and 10 specimens. Up to day, the collection does not have specimens of any paratype.
