Abstract

The mammal collection of the Luis Gonzalo Andrade Natural History Museum of the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC-M) founded in 1961 houses 93 specimens grouped into 7 orders, 12 families, 27 genera, and 42 species. These specimens have been collected in 7 departments of Colombia. The most representative orders are Chiroptera (23 species) and Rodentia (11 species). The potential of the material in the mammal collection is highlighted since with the digitalization of the information as well as the enrichment and good maintenance of this collection, it is expected to be an important scientific reference in the department of Boyacá and Colombia for future projects and research.
