Mammozoological collections in Colombia: Strengthening of its management and management through coordination through the Colombian Society of Mastozoology

Abstract

In this issue Mammalogy Notes and the Colombian Society of Mammalogy (SCMas) make special recognition of the importance of biological collections to study, understand and promote the knowledge and conservation of mammals. We hope that with this new series of manuscripts we will be able to make visible the main strengths and weaknesses of the biological collections that house mammals in Colombia and that it will be a starting point for the articulation of collections with the SCMas collections committee.
