Abstract
The species of the genus Marmosops spp., known as butter chuchas, are small marsupials that are distributed mainly in the tropical and subtropical zone of South America (Gardner 2008). In Colombia, 6 species have been reported that are usually found in the Andean forests of the three mountain ranges and the humid forests of the Amazon (Solari et al. 2013). Reports of their natural history include them as prey for dog-fox (Cerdocyon thous), as well as some owls and owls (Díaz-Nieto 2014a, 2014b). However, there are no records of predation of these marsupials by species of the genus Momotus.
