Abstract
The Raccoon Procyon cancrivorus (Cuvier 1798) is a medium-sized carnivore of the Procyonidae family that is distributed from southern Costa Rica to northern Argentina. Although it is a species with wide distribution in the country, confirmed records of this species are scarce at local and regional levels. Here the first record of P. cancrivorus for the Campoalegrito microbasin, municipality of Santa Rosa de Cabal, department of Risaralda, is reported. Thus adding a new local registry of the species for Colombia.
