Abstract
Albinism is a condition caused by a genetic mutation and is characterized by the total absence of melanin, so that individuals with this condition have white skin and red eyes. Leucism is another existing form of lack of pigmentation and manifests itself by decolorizing certain parts of the body. Cases of complete albinism are very rare wild animals and especially in bats.
