Abstract
The purpose of this report is to present the first record of Ichthyomys pittieri in an unusual habitat for representatives of the Ichthyomyini tribe in Venezuela. It is a country house under construction, located next to a dirt road that defines the boundary of the Yurubí National Park, in the El Silencio sector, Sierra de Aroa, Yaracuy State, Venezuela
